September Chapter Meeting

We returned to our gamer roots this month by taking a break from the usual panel format of our regular meetings. This meeting was pure networking fun at the Playland Arcade at Santa Monica Pier!

Next month we will return to our usual panel format - and we have a GREAT panel planned for you!

August Chapter Meeting

The IGDA-LA would like to thank the Writer's Guild of America-west (WGAw) for hosting our August chapter meeting. The meeting discussed writing in games.

Our hosts announced at the meeting that the Writer's Guild now offers a way for video game writers to join the guild. (See link below for information on how to apply.)

This offer is the work of the WGAw video game caucus. The IGDA-LA board members celebrate this type of collaboration between professionals from various segments of the entertainment world. The board will work with the video game caucus as part of our on-going efforts to encourage further collaboration between Hollywood professionals and Game Industry professionals.

We have had our first meeting and are already working to make this a great and prosperous chapter for all our current and future members!
